A pop rock trio with unbounded energy and three striking, spirited personalities is behind the enigmatic name, Suki Brownies.
Romu (rhythm guitar) and Joe (solo guitar) meet at school in Chalon-Sur-Saone, setting the agenda for an everlasting passion for music. Since their teenage years the two young musicians are gripped by the powerful rock scene of the 90s. Their interests span Nirvanas grunge, Radioheads hypnotic sounds as well as The Pixies and The Velvet Underground.
Their encounter with Suki (vocals) stages a remarkable decisive moment.
The alluring young singer from across the Channel wins them over with her mysterious, aerial voice, and undoubtedly, with her writing too. Her powerful, poetic texts tackle contemporary, universal issues in which the recurring ideas of confinement and freedom are neatly intertwined. |
